Family Photographer in Canning Town: My East London Studio Explained
My studio is based in Canning Town, East London. Here is what East London families can expect from a family portrait session, and why so many local families come back more than once. One of my two studios is based in Canning Town, East London. It is a proper photography studio in the heart of East London, with easy access from the Jubilee and DLR lines, and well-connected to the surrounding E postcodes including Stratford, Bow, Poplar, Isle of Dogs, Whitechapel, and Bethnal Green. I have worked with East London families for years. Many of my Canning Town clients are local, and many make the journey from slightly further afield because the studio and the session style suits what they are looking for. This is what those sessions look like. The studio The Canning Town studio is a dedicated portrait photography space with professional lighting, a considered set of backdrops, and enough room for families of all sizes to move around comfortably. It is not a shared co-working space or a converted corner of a room. It is a proper studio, set up specifically to produce beautiful family portraits. The session Family sessions at my Canning Town studio run for around 60 minutes. I do not work from a rigid shot list. Instead, I create the conditions for natural family interaction and then photograph what actually happens. That means children laughing at something they found genuinely funny, parents looking at each other rather than at a camera, and moments that are real rather than recreated. For younger children especially, the unhurried pace makes a real difference. There is time to warm up, time to play, and time to produce photographs that actually reflect the child as they are right now. After the session Within a week of your session, I invite you to a private image viewing appointment over Zoom. This is where you see your portraits for the first time. Evening slots are available for working parents, and there is no pressure to make decisions on the spot. What does it cost? The session fee is £95 for a family portrait session. This includes the full session and one beautifully edited digital image. Additional images are available to purchase at your viewing. The session fee is the only upfront cost. Booking your East London family session If you are an East London family looking for a photographer based locally, booking is straightforward. You choose your session type, select a date, and pay the session fee to secure your slot. Weekend dates tend to fill up quickly, so a few weeks of lead time is usually a good idea. East London families deserve portraits that actually look like them. That is what I am here to make.
